Aditi Swami: Young Indian archer Aditi Swami became world champion in Under 18 compound archery. Aditi became the champion by defeating America’s Leanne Drake 142-136. Aditi has maintained her form after a stellar performance at the Under-18 Women’s Compound last month. He broke the qualifying record.

Dominating the event from the start, Aditi took a five-point lead and assured the gold medal for India. In the senior category, Aditi was also participating in Colombia last month and won the bronze medal in the team event.

Last year too, Aditi was impressive in her game. He won the silver medal in the Asia Cup League 3 played in Sharjah. From there he did not look back and continuously improved his archery skills.

India has so far won eight medals in Under-18 compound archery. These include four gold medals. One silver medal and three bronze medals are included. India still has a chance to win a gold medal and a bronze. It has to be seen whether this will happen or not.
