Wimbledon 2023:
Spain’s star player Carlos Alcaraz made a big achievement by defeating one of the most successful tennis players Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon title match on Sunday. India‘s great batsman Sachin Tendulkar has congratulated Alcaroz on his victory.

Sachin told Alcarez the next superstar of tennis
The god of cricket Sachin Tendulkar has compared Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcarez to 20-time Grand Slam winner Roger Federer, describing him as the next tennis superstar. Alcarez defeated Djokovic in a five-set thriller to win his second Grand Slam title.

Sachin congratulated Alcarez by tweeting
After Alcarez’s victory, Tendulkar tweeted from the official Twitter account and wrote, ‘What a wonderful final to see! Excellent tennis by both of these athletes! We are witnessing the rise of the next tennis superstar. I will be following Carlos’ career for the next 10-12 years like I did Roger Federer. Many congratulations Carlos Alcarez.

Youngest player to win Alcarez US Open and Wimbledon
In the Wimbledon 2023 final, Alcarez defeated Djokovic 1-6, 7-6, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 on Center Court. At the age of 20, Alcaraz became the youngest player to win the US Open and Wimbledon. The Spaniard displayed remarkable skill, overcoming a set deficit to defeat the 7-time champion. The win was her first Wimbledon championship and her second major overall.

Alcarez became the third youngest man to win at Wimbledon, behind only legends such as Boris Becker (age 17 in 1985) and Björn Borg (age 20 in 1976). Alcaraz became the first player to defeat Djokovic on Center Court in 10 years, his previous loss being against Andy Murray in 2013.

In fact, Alcarez became the first man besides Roger Federer, Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray to win Wimbledon since 2002. The win means the Spaniard will also retain his world No. 1 spot. Incredibly the 20-year-old has won two Grand Slam titles.
