24 injured in Odisha MLA’s car: MP said – no one will be spared

Bhubaneswar, March 13: A suspended MLA of the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) allegedly drove his SUV car into a procession of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers in Odisha’s Khurda district. Around 15 BJP workers, BJD workers and 7 police personnel have been injured in the incident. This matter is gaining momentum. The BJP has accused the ruling party of being biased. On this matter, BJD MP Pinaki Mishra in Bhubaneswar said, “The view of the CM has been clearly stated that the law will take its own course and no one will be spared.”

BJD MP Pinaki Mishra said, “The MLA is accused of attempt to murder. Since the suspension was not lifted, he was expelled. BJP should look into the Lakhimpur Kheri incident before commenting.

BJP leader in Bhubaneswar Sambit Patra said, “Most of the injured are women, we saw that the MLAs were drunk. After the panchayat elections, the election of the chairman was going on in Chilka. Since BJP was winning and BJD MLAs could not hinder the democratic process, they have beaten up BJP workers.

Odisha BJP President Sameer Mohanty meets injured BJP worker at a hospital. Odisha BJP president Sameer Mohanty said, “BJD MLA Prashant Jagdev has a bad track record. He should be punished for his crimes. His place is in jail.”

SP Khordha said, “More than 20 people have been injured after the car of suspended BJD MLA Prashant Jagdev allegedly crushed a crowd in Odisha’s Khordha. Around 15 BJP workers, BJD workers and 7 police personnel were injured in the incident. The investigation of the matter has been started.
