8 years of Baahubali:
On 10 July 2015, director SS Rajamouli gave the world a film that not only broke all records at the box office but also turned the fortunes of the film’s starcast around. The stars who were limited only to the South Industry, all emerged as Pan India stars.

Baahubali is a film that has created history. It connected audiences across India to each other. Bahubali, directed by SS Rajamouli, has completed 8 years today. There is no doubt that this franchise has been one of the biggest films of this decade.

record breaking success at the box office

Bahubali had made many records with its release. The film became the first South Indian film to gross 650 crores worldwide. At the same time, the first non-Hindi film was made after dubbing to earn more than 100 crores. Along with this, Baahubali became the highest grossing film in the history of Telugu film.

The shooting of the climax scene lasted for 200 days.

The film starred Prabhas, Rana Daggupati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj in lead roles. Let me tell you, the producer had spent about 30 crores on the war scene in the climax of the film. In this scene, 5000 junior artists shot for about 200 days.

20 thousand weapons were designed

The film’s VFX supervisor Srinivas Mohan worked on the Vfx of the film in association with around 16 VFX studios. It took two and a half years. At the same time, about 20 thousand weapons were designed for the entire film, which were used throughout the film.

Tell me, the writer of the film used a new language in the film – Kilki.. which has only 750 words and 40 grammar rules. This language is spoken in the film by the people of the Kalkeyi clan.

It was the first Telugu film to be made on a budget above 100 crores. The first film was of 180 crores.. whereas the sequel was of around 250 crores. Including both the films, the Bahubali franchise is a 430 crore film. It is the costliest franchise in India.
