Anubhav sir and my DNA are the same when it comes to cinema!’- Ayushmann Khurrana
Young Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana believes his mentor-director Anubhav Sinha and his DNA are the same when it comes to cinema. Anubhav and Ayushmann are back together for the film Anek in which Ayushmann plays an undercover cop posted in North East India. The trailer of the film was well received and the industry expects it to be a big hit at the box office. Ayushmann says,
“Anubhav sir and I have a karmic connection. There is no doubt about it because sometimes I feel that we have the same DNA when it comes to cinema. He is a filmmaker who challenges the status quo, he is extremely risk-taking and passionate. He is a free minded person.
I feel connected to his core values, so we have a relationship that will last forever.” He added, “I am extremely glad that we got an opportunity to engage creatively and deliver a film like Article 15 to the audience. . We are working together again to present many to the public.
A film that I am extremely proud of. This is a film that will make all of us feel proud as Indians. It will make people think about our identity as an Indian.” Ayushmann adds, “I have always loved offbeat films and many such is one of the best films.
Anubhav sir has once again done wonders in this film and I am eagerly waiting for the audience to watch this film. “Ayushmann has a long list of great films to do in 2022.
Ayushmann will next be seen in Anubhav Sinha’s Anek which will release on May 27. His next films include Anubhuti Kashyap’s Doctor Ji and filmmaker Aanand L Rai’s Action Hero. Significantly, the action hero is being directed by debutant Anirudh Iyer.
