Some wrestlers had a dispute with the Wrestling Federation of India. Accusing former President Brij Bhushan Singh of sexual exploitation, some wrestlers were also sitting on a dharna. Now a big news has come out about two of them. Information has come regarding participation in the Asian Games.

According to ANI, sources have said that Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat will be sent directly to the Asian Games. For this, they will not have to go through any trial. It is being told that both these wrestlers have been exempted by the Adhoc Committee.

Apart from these two, other players will have to go for trials and whichever category the athlete wins, it will be kept in standby. Significantly, both Bajrang and Vinesh were among the six wrestlers who staged a sit-in with allegations of sexual abuse against Brij Bhushan Singh.

Earlier these wrestlers had asked for extra time to prepare. All the six wrestlers who were on strike had asked the IOA to postpone the trials for some time as their preparations could not be done due to the strike and other reasons. In such a situation, they are not completely ready for the trial.

Freestyle trials are going to be held this month. These trials will be held from 23 July. Apart from this, trials will also be held on 22 July. It has to be seen which names will be included in the wrestlers’ competition for the Asian Games and which players will move forward after being successful in the trials.
