Bank closed for 15 days in April

Banks are going to have long holidays in April 2022. According to the list of holidays released by RBI, banks will remain closed for 15 days. These holidays also include the weekly holidays of Saturday and Sunday. Banks will remain closed for 15 days due to festivals like Chaitra Navratri, Mahavir Jayanti, Baisakhi, Bihu, Good Friday. Let us tell you that bank holidays are limited to a particular state or region. Hence holidays are also different days in different states and cities.

According to the list of bank holidays released by RBI, it is starting from April 1. Banks will remain closed in most cities of the country except Aizawl, Chandigarh, Shillong, Shimla due to annual closing on April 1. There will be a bank holiday on April 2 in Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Srinagar. Banks will remain closed in these cities on account of Gudi Padwa, Ugadi Festival, Tulugu New Year, Sajibu Nongmapanba. Banks across the country will remain closed due to Sunday on April 3.

Banks will remain closed in Ranchi on April 4 due to Sarhul. Banks will remain closed in Hyderabad on April 5, due to the birthday of Babu Jagjivan Ram. April 9 is the second Saturday of the month, due to which there will be a bank holiday. Banks across the country will remain closed due to Sunday on April 10. Banks across the country will remain closed except Shillong and Shimla on April 14 on account of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, Mahavir Jayanti, Baisakhi, Tamil New Year’s Day, Bohag Bihu.

According to the RBI list, banks will remain closed in most cities of the country apart from Jaipur, Jammu, Srinagar on April 15 due to Good Friday, Bengali New Year’s Day. There will be a bank holiday in Guwahati on April 16. Banks will remain closed on April 17 due to Sunday holiday. Banks will remain closed in Agartala on 21st April due to Garia Puja. On the other hand, there will be a bank holiday on April 23 due to the fourth Saturday, and on April 24, due to Sunday, banks across the country will be closed. All banks will remain closed in Jammu, Srinagar on 29th April on account of Shab-e-Qadr.
