Although the team will be announced on Monday itself, it is certain, but in the meantime it is reported from PTI that it is very difficult for the team’s main bowler Jasprit Bumrah to be selected in the team of Asia Cup. According to the report, Jasprit Bumrah will not be selected in the Asia Cup squad due to a back injury. A BCCI official has given this information to PTI.
Bumrah is in trouble due to back injury
A BCCI official has told, “Jasprit Bumrah, the senior Indian team bowler, is almost certain to be ruled out of the Asia Cup T20 tournament due to a back injury, as his injury will take time to heal. Although Bumrah will be fine till the T20 World Cup and will be a part of the team, he is our main bowler, so we don’t want his injury to be aggravated by sending him in the Asia Cup.
