Gayle hit 17 sixes in his unbeaten 175. After this, Gayle holds the record for most sixes in an innings in IPL. No one has been able to break this record even today. The second place in this case is Brendon McCullum, who hit 13 sixes in his first IPL match on April 18, 2018. Gayle also hit 13 sixes against Delhi Daredevils in 2012. Apart from this, Gayle also holds the record for the highest individual score in IPL during this match. His record is still intact and no one has been able to reach him.

Apart from this, Gayle tops the list of most sixes in IPL history. He has hit 357 sixes in 142 matches in IPL. AB de Villiers, who is second in the list, is far behind Gayle. De Villiers has hit 251 sixes. Gayle has played 142 IPL matches so far in which he has scored 4965 runs at an average of 39.72, which includes 6 centuries. He has also taken 18 wickets.
