New Delhi, March 13: Recently, the election process was completed in UP, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur. In which BJP is going to form its government with full majority in all the states except Punjab. Even after this massive victory, the Modi government at the Center gave a big blow to crores of EPF account holders, where the interest rate on PF was reduced. The opposition is constantly attacking the government regarding this. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has also targeted the Center and BJP on this issue.

EPF interest rate cut, Modi Govt. But Mamata Banerjee got angry. oneindia hindi

CM Mamta tweeted and wrote that after the victory of votes in UP, the BJP government immediately brought its gift card. He slashed the interest rate on Employees’ Provident Fund deposits to the lowest level in four decades. It exposes the central government. According to the CM, the middle and lower middle class workers/employees are troubled due to the corona epidemic. In such a situation, this decision has increased their problem.

According to Mamata Banerjee, the anti-people, anti-labour move exposes the brutal unilateral public policies of the current central institution, which protects the interests of big capital at the expense of farmers, workers and the middle classes. This decision should be thwarted by jointly opposing it.

How much interest will you get now?
The Central Board of Trustees of EPFO has reduced the interest on PF account. They have now decided to pay 8.1 percent interest instead of 8.5 percent. This is the lowest interest rate in 40 years. Soon the Finance Ministry will also give its consent to this. A total of more than 6 crore employees across the country will be affected by this decision.
