Vaishakh Purnima is coming on 16th May 2022. This time due to Vaishakh Purnima coming on Monday, Somvati Purnima has coincided. On this special day, the Vaishakh Snan, which has been going on for the last one month, will end. Bathing in the waters of holy rivers is of great importance on this Somvati Purnima day. On this day, devotees gather to take bath in many holy rivers including Ganga, Narmada. Fairs will be held at pilgrimage places. Charity will be done. Water kumbh is also donated on Vaishakh Purnima for the happiness of Yama.

The entire Vaishakh month is very virtuous and holy. Taking a vow during this entire month, they bathe with water from holy rivers, do chanting, penance, charity, etc. and the Vaishakh bath ends on the full moon day. According to the scriptures, those who could not take a Vaishakh bath, they should take a bath on the last day of the month i.e. on the full moon day and get its virtuous result. Lord Buddha was also born on this day, hence it is also called Buddha Purnima. Along with this, Kurma Jayanti is also celebrated on this day. Many measures are also taken on this day to attain Lakshmi and water hyacinth is also donated for freedom from premature death and diseases.

Why donate water hyacinth

On the day of Vaishakh Purnima, the water-filled Kumbh i.e. pot should be donated. This donation is very fruitful for the happiness of Yamraj. Due to this, the entire family of man is protected from premature death, accidental incident and accident. If any person in the family is very ill, is in a dying condition, then for his protection, one must donate water hyacinth.

Do some special measures on Vaishakh Purnima

• On the day of full moon, the moon remains full of its arts, so people who have any mental illness, are feeling mental stress, put some Ganges water in clean water in a silver vessel at night and keep it in the moonlight overnight. . Then fill this water in a silver vessel and keep it. By taking a small amount of this water daily, mental diseases are cured.

• Make kheer by pouring sugar candy on the full moon day and feed it to seven girls up to 12 years of age. This maintains economic prosperity. There is speed in work and economic prosperity increases.

• On the full moon day, get up before sunrise and clean the house. After bathing yourself, sprinkle Gangajal and cow urine in the house. Make a swastika with turmeric, roli or kumkum at the main entrance of the house.

• Offer a lot of raw milk, water, sugar candy and yellow flowers to the Peepal tree on the full moon day. Wealth and prosperity will come.

• Offer makhana kheer, sabudana kheer or any white sweet to Goddess Lakshmi. Distribute this prasad after the puja.

• Light a lamp of jasmine oil in front of Hanumanji and mustard oil under Peepal. Offering Chola to Hanumanji on this day fulfills all the wishes.
