Corona caught pace in Delhi, 1,009 new Kovid cases registered in 24 hours, cases increased by 60% in 1 day

New Delhi, April 20: Once again the cases of corona virus are increasing rapidly in Delhi. On Wednesday, 1,009 new Kovid cases were registered in the last 24 hours. Which is 60 percent more than yesterday. The positivity rate of Kovid in the capital of the country has gone up to 5.7 percent. According to the data of the Delhi Health Department, after a steady decline in the cases of Kovid, new infection cases are increasing in Delhi with the positive rate between April 11 and 18.

According to government data, despite a spurt in Covid cases in Delhi, hospitalizations have so far been low, accounting for less than three per cent of the total active cases. Earlier today, in view of the increasing cases in Delhi, wearing masks in public places has been made mandatory.

India reported 2,067 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, taking the number of cases to 4,30,47,594. The health ministry said active cases comprise 0.03 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 98.76 per cent. Delhi accounts for over 30 per cent of the 2,067 new cases reported in India on Wednesday.
