New Delhi, August 9. Commonwealth Games 2022: The Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham was concluded with pomp on Monday, 8 August. This year of Commonwealth Games was excellent for India, Indian players gave many opportunities to the countrymen to raise their heads with pride. In the Commonwealth Games 2022, more than five thousand athletes participated and worked to make this big tournament which lasted for 11 days special. Some soldiers of the Indian Army also captured the medal this time. This list includes the name of Subedar Amit Panghal to Deepak Punia, who comes from Jhajjar region of Haryana.

Amit Panghal showed his strength in boxing

Amit Panghal, who served as a Subedar in the Indian Army, won Gold in the Commonwealth Games 2022. Amit Panghal achieved this big feat by defeating Kieran McDonald of England in the final match. Amit, who took part in the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham after a disappointing performance at the Tokyo Olympics last year, won the hearts of the countrymen with his performance. In the men’s 51kg category, Amit surprised everyone with his best performance.

Avinash Sable captured the silver

Avinash Sable won the silver medal in the men’s 3000m steeplechase. In athletics, Sable did this feat in 8 minutes and a few seconds and won the silver medal for India. Indian Army’s Naib Subedar Avinash Sable raced hard to win India’s first medal in the men’s steeplechase event at the Commonwealth Games. On the achievement of Avinash Sable, the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi also congratulated him.

Jeremy Lalrinnunga won the gold

India’s Jeremy Lalrinnunga made a big achievement by winning the gold medal in the Commonwealth. Jeremy Lalrinnunga managed to create history by winning a gold medal in his very first Commonwealth Games. Jeremy Lalrinnunga, who served as Naib Subedar in the Indian Army, lifted a total of 300 kg (140 in snatch and 160 in clean and jerk) in men’s 67 kg. Along with this, he won the gold medal for India. Apart from Lalrinnunga, Mirabai Chanu and Achinta Sheuli won gold in weightlifting.

Deepak Punia won against Pakistan

Deepak Punia is a well-known name in Indian wrestling. But very few people would know that he is also associated with the Indian Army and works as a Subedar. Fans will remember the victory of Punia, who won the medal for the country by winning against Pakistan. Deepak went on to win a memorable gold medal for the country by defeating Pakistan’s Muhammad Inam by 3:0 in the Commonwealth.

Achinta Sheuli wins hearts

Havildar Achinta Sheuly’s name is also included in the soldiers of the Indian Army who won the gold medal in the Commonwealth Games 2022. Achinta Sheuli, 20, from West Bengal lifted a total of 313kg (143kg in snatch and 170kg in clean and jerk). After this victory, Achinta Sheuli was welcomed in the presence of senior army officers. These players, who joined the Indian Army, went to Birmingham and hoisted the tricolor of the country and made the chest of the whole Indian proud proudly.
