The film ‘The Kashmir Files’, directed by Vivek Agnihotri, is creating panic at the box office. The film has broken all records in terms of earnings. The film has crossed the 100 crore mark in just one week and is expected to cross the 175 crore mark by Monday.
However, as this film is touching the pinnacle of success, in the same way some controversies are also being added to it. It is being said about the film that it was cleared by CBFC without any cut and Vivek Agnihotri himself was part of the board. However, Vivek Agnihotri has denied these allegations.

On Saturday 19 March, it was being claimed that The Kashmir Files was cleared by the Censor Board without any cuts and that Vivek Agnihotri himself was a part of the Censor Board. Refuting this news, on Sunday, Vivek Agnihotri tweeted saying that please stop spreading lies about the film. Sharing a screenshot, he wrote that the film was given an A certificate by the censor board and had seven cuts.
The film director tweeted and said, ‘Please stop spreading false news as always. Take a break At least respect the dead. The report mentions that words like ‘Hindu’ and ‘Pandit’ were removed by adding abusive words. Apart from this, the board had changed the name of the university from JNU to ANU.

The film stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Bhasha Sumbali, Shraddha Pandit, Chinmay Mandlekar in lead roles. Produced under the banner of Zee Studios, I Am Buddha and Abhishek Agarwal Arts, the film is produced by Tej Narayan Agarwal, Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Agnihotri.
