Give utmost importance to the interests of Odisha in Parliament: Naveen Patnaik

Bhubaneswar, 30 March. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today asked his MPs to give utmost importance to the interests of Odisha in Parliament. Taking part in the BJD Parliamentary Party meeting, Patnaik asked the party MPs to raise issues relating to Odisha’s interest in both the Houses of Parliament. Patnaik, who was here on a three-day visit, was welcomed by BJD MPs on his arrival in Parliament.

Here CM Patnaik will meet the Union Ministers of the departments to discuss the issues related to the state. Issues like lifting of leftover boiled rice from Odisha by the Center, provision of houses under the housing scheme, increasing the state’s share in coal royalty, central assistance for creation of disaster resilient infrastructure, etc. are likely to be discussed during this time.

Apart from this, Patnaik is also likely to discuss with Union ministers on payment of dues, provision of telephone service in remote areas, and opening of banks in panchayats that do not have bank branches.
