Gold in ISSF Junior World Championship, Abhinav Sau and Gautami Bhanot hit the right target for India

ISSF Junior World ChampionshipGold Medal in 10m Air Rifle Mixed Category in Junior Shooting Championship. The pair of Abhinav Sao and Gautami Bhanot has won the gold medal. The Indian pair defeated the French pair in this ongoing tournament in Changwon, Korea.

This is India‘s third gold medal and second in the table. Even after equal medals to India, China is in first place. China has 2 silver medals. India has two bronze and one silver medal. The Indian pair won the gold medal by defeating the French pair 17-13.

The pair of Abhinav and Gautami performed exceptionally well in the qualification as well. Both finished second with 627.4 points and earned the right to play in the gold medal match. India’s performance in this tournament has been excellent so far.

The French pair of Ocean Muller and Romain Aufère put up a formidable start to the Indian pair. Both were ahead initially and the Indian pair trailed 0-4. After this, the Indian pair won the gold medal by shooting excellent shots.
