The gazette of the notification issued seven years ago has been issued after seven years i.e. on April 13, 2022, after the Governor of Jharkhand and the Home Department approved the rules related to the recruitment, service conditions and promotions of Chowkidar cadre. This manual has been called Jharkhand Chowkidar Cadre Rules 2015. It has been said that this rule will come into force from the date of publication in the Gazette.

According to this rule, the appointment and promotion of watchmen in the state will be recommended by a committee headed by the Deputy Commissioner. In this committee, the senior superintendent of police / superintendent of police, all the sub-divisional officers of the district, deputy development commissioner cum chief executive officer and an officer of the scheduled caste / tribe nominated by the deputy commissioner will be the members of the committee.

According to the rules, for appointment to the post of watchman, at least 10th pass will have to be done from the educational institutions of Jharkhand state. Apart from this, the minimum age will be 18 years and in relation to the maximum age limit, the provisions regarding age limit prescribed from time to time will be applicable. For appointment to the post of watchman, it will be necessary for the candidate to be a permanent resident of the concerned beat area and knowledge of cycling.

727 industrial training officers will be appointed
Jharkhand State Staff Selection Commission has started the process for Jharkhand Industrial Training Officer Competitive Examination-2022. Online application submission started from Tuesday for appointment to 727 posts of backlog and regular vacancy. Interested candidates will be able to submit online applications till the midnight of 18th May. The last date for payment of examination fee has been fixed as midnight of 20th May.
