Google Pixel 7 Series: Two of the biggest launches of the year are yet to come, and this event is not far away. While Apple is expected to announce its new iPhone 14 series in September this year, Google is expected to launch the new Pixel 7 series in October 2022.

The launch dates are still not clear, but a fresh leak has given some hints about the same. The credit for the Pixel event goes to well-known leaker John Prosser. Here’s everything you need to know. At the Google I/O developer conference earlier this year, the software giant confirmed the existence of Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones. But it did not reveal the launch details. Now the source is claiming that the flagship phone will be available for pre-orders on October 6th and the devices will go on sale on October 13th.

Google Pixel 7 Series: Will knock in India?

But, don’t get too excited about it as there is no confirmation on whether the new Pixel 7 series will arrive in India or not. Also, the chances of the Pixel 7 coming to India are slim, as the company stopped launching its flagship phone a long time back. Devices like Pixel 4, Pixel 5 and Pixel 6 series did not arrive in India. But, Google may change its decision this year. We are likely to know about it in October this year.

Google Pixel 7 Series: What to Expect

The Pixel 7 series will likely be powered by Google’s next-gen Tensor chipset. There is no doubt that the devices will ship with the new Android 13 OS out of the box. While not much is known about the devices, a recent leak suggested that the Pro model will have a brighter display than last year’s model.

It will reportedly have a bigger screen that will support up to 1,000nits brightness from 800nits brightness. Flagship devices are still not expected to come with LTPO display and HDR 10+ support. But, Pixel 7 Pro may come with 120Hz screen for better scrolling experience. The panel will likely operate at QHD+ resolution.

Google Pixel 7 Series: Camera

Google is not expected to make major changes in terms of design. For photography, the Pixel 7 series is reportedly using an 11-megapixel Samsung 3J1 sensor, which will be placed on the front. This sensor has dual-pixel autofocus (DPAF) capabilities, which means that one can expect to get some decent portrait shots with the upcoming Pixel phones.
