Government treasury filling up with legal mining in Punjab crossed one lakh metric tonnes

Chandigarh, May 27: Bhagwant Mann government has tightened the noose on illegal mining in Punjab. Mining Minister Harjot Bains informed that legal mining in Punjab has crossed one lakh metric tonnes. Bains said that due to filling of legal mining, there is an increase in the exchequer, which is a good news.

Harjot Bains has informed that in the previous government, 40 thousand metric tonnes of legal mining was done. Last year, 1234 metric tonnes were mined in Ropar. This year, 11307 metric tonnes were mined in Ropar. Last year, 2785 metric tonnes were mined in Ludhiana. This year, 22397 metric tonnes were mined in Ludhiana. Due to which filling of legal mining will increase the government exchequer.
