The Hague, 16 March:
It has been 21 days since the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. In such a situation, the Russian army has caused great damage to the cities of Ukraine. There does not seem to be any way of reconciliation between the two countries. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) has given its verdict regarding the ongoing fierce war between the two countries. The International Court of Justice has ordered Russia to stop its ongoing attack on Ukraine.

In fact, the International Court of Justice of the United Nations on Wednesday accepted Ukraine’s request to stop Russia’s horrific attack, giving Russia its verdict, in which the CJI ordered Russia to stop its attack. At the same time, in its order, the court said that the countries supported by Russia will have to distance themselves from this matter and this decision will be considered binding on all the parties.

At the same time, after the decision of the International Court of Justice, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky expressed happiness that Ukraine has won its case against Russia in the ICJ. The ICJ ordered an immediate halt to the attack. This order is binding under international law. Russia must comply immediately. Disobeying the order would further isolate Russia. However, now it remains to be seen what steps Russia takes after this order.
