New Delhi, March 15: Hours after clearing his first challenge as India’s Test captain with full marks, Rohit Sharma has started working for his Indian Premier League franchise, Mumbai Indians. They are ready to win the 6th title. With less than 2 weeks to go for IPL 2022, Rohit joined the Mumbai Indians camp as he took off from Bengaluru and arrived in Mumbai late on Monday.

In a video clip shared by Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma can be seen entering the team hotel with his wife Ritika Sajdeh and daughter Samaira. Holding Samaira, Rohit has a look at the IPL trophies displayed at the team hotel.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians also announced the arrival of pacer Jasprit Bumrah. The preparations for the 10 team season are going to intensify in the coming days. India players, who were part of the Test series against Sri Lanka, are unlikely to undergo mandatory bio-bubble quarantine, while all others will undergo a rigorous 3-day quarantine before entering the bio-bubble.

Rohit will lead Mumbai Indians in IPL 2022, starting from March 26.

Rohit Sharma has seen a dreamlike journey as the full time captain of India in all the 3 formats of the game. While he helped India beat New Zealand, West Indies and Sri Lanka in the limited overs series at home, Rohit helped India beat Sri Lanka 2–0 in his first assignment as Test captain.

Meanwhile, Bumrah is entering IPL 2022 with a stellar performance in India’s big win over Sri Lanka in Bengaluru. Bumrah picked up 8 wickets, including a 5 in the first innings, as India registered a 238-run victory.

Mumbai Indians will begin their campaign against Delhi Capitals at the Brabourne Stadium on March 27, a day after the opening match of the tournament between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.
