New Delhi, March 8: A small city like Jamshedpur in the Indian Super League has registered a major achievement in the world of football in India. This small city of the country has won its first league shield by defeating Mohun Bagan in ISL 2022. The coach of this team is Owen Koel and this team for the first time in its short history captured the trophy by finishing on top. Jamshedpur team needed only 1 draw to capture the leagueshield and after that they were to come on top.

Ritwik Das’s lone goal in this team helped Jamshedpur beat ATK Mohun Bagan 1-0 in the final league match of the ISL 2022 season after a hard fight. With this, Jamshedpur’s team has finished with 43 points in 20 matches and they have won 13 matches. On the other hand ATK Mohun Bagan team registered 37 points in 20 matches in the league.

Jamshedpur will now play their first semi-final against Kerala Blasters on March 11, while ATK Mohun Bagan will take on Hyderabad FC in the second semi-final match the next day. The Jamshedpur team will also get an amount of Rs 3.5 crore for the leagueshield.

Jamshedpur’s team has also become the first team to win seven consecutive matches in ISL with their latest win. He has also collected the highest number of points in the history of ISL. Earlier the team of Bengaluru, Mohun Bagan and Mumbai had achieved 40-40 points in history which are now overtaken by Jamshedpur.

On the other hand, this is Mohun Bagan’s third defeat and their 15-match undefeated streak has also come to a halt. Ritvik Das’s goal for Jamshedpur came in 56 minutes of the match.
