Jadavpur University did wonders in placement, 9 students got a big job offer of Rs 1-1 crore

Kolkata, May 29: West Bengal’s Jadavpur University (JU) has witnessed its best placement season after many years, with nine students from different engineering departments getting jobs abroad with salary packages of over Rs 1 crore. All of them have got job opportunities in foreign countries. Recently Jadavpur University has been ranked first among all state universities in the country by the prestigious Nature Index Ranking.

Let us inform that Devarshi Maitra and Kush Mishra from Production Engineering, Ritwik Raj and Rupyan Ghosh from Information Technology, Satyam Kumar, Shubham Kumar Mandal from Computer Science and Engineering and Chiradeep Dey, Satyaki Das and Saikat Chakraborty from Electronics and Telecom Engineering got international offers. Huh.

This year’s biggest package is Rs 1.4 crore from Google, which Devarshi Maitra has got. This is the first time since the Corona pandemic that students have received international offers with such high salaries from Edinburgh, Madrid, London, Dublin and Berlin. Devarshi will join Google in September. On this offer, Devarshi said that it has always been my dream. I thank my family and teachers for this.

Similarly, Chiradeep Dey, a fourth year student of Electronics and Telecom Engineering Department, has also got a job in Amazon with a salary of Rs 1.1 crore. He will join his office in Dublin in September. Whereas Lakshya Bengani, a student, has got the best package for a job in India. Lakshya is a 4th year student in IT, who has got an offer of Rs 65 lakh from Apple. He has been selected for a post in Hyderabad and will take up his assignment in July. Similarly, Aritra Samant has also got Apple’s job from Computer Science.

Here, Samita Bhattacharya, Placement Officer at JU said, “The quality of placements in the departments has been very good. Even the core engineering sectors like Mechanical, Civil and Chemical have got attractive packages. Vice Chancellor Suranjan Das said Said that the pandemic was a testing time for the students. This is great news for them as they had to face many hurdles. I wish the teachers all the best for preparing their students so well.

Let us tell you that about 50 students have got jobs with a salary of Rs 40 lakh per annum. Many have got double and triple offers. About one thousand applicants had applied for the job, out of which 84 percent people have succeeded in getting the job. More than a hundred companies came for the placement.
