The Jyestha month of Vikram Samvat 2080 will be from 6 May 2023 to 4 June. Jyeshtha month starts from Narada Jayanti and ends on Jethi Purnima. The importance of Jyestha month has been told in the scriptures. Jyestha month is the month of worship and devotion to Hanumanji because in this month Hanumanji met Lord Shri Ram. In this month, the heat of the Sun is high, it is great, that is why this month is named Jyestha. The importance of water conservation has been told in this month. Many big fasts and festivals will come in the month of Jyestha

It is said in the scriptures about Jyeshtha month that in this month walking, traveling, playing in the sun during the afternoon is prohibited because the sun remains in its fierce form. This can be injurious to health. One should sleep more and more in this month. Drinking bael juice in this month is healthy. In this month, it is prohibited to eat hot things like garlic etc. The eldest son or daughter of the family is not married in Jyestha month. One who eats once in the month of Jyeshtha remains healthy.
