
Kejriwal government set up relief camps for flood victims in Delhi, people are getting essential things in the camp

Delhi Govt Relief Camp:
The water level in Delhi’s Yamuna river rose above the danger mark after water released from Haryana’s Hathini Kund barrage following torrential monsoon rains, inundated the surrounding area, affecting people living in the lower reaches of the Yamuna. People were shifted from there along with their household items.
Following the recent floods around the Yamuna river, the Delhi government took immediate action to set up relief camps to provide relief and assistance to the affected people. Around 306 persons have been successfully shifted to a well maintained relief camp from various places in Central Delhi.

The purpose of this relief camp set up by the Arvind Kejriwal government of Delhi is to meet the immediate needs of the flood affected families by providing many essential facilities. Many things have been taken care of in this, which is important.

Three nutritious meals a day to ensure adequate food supply.

Arrangement of milk for young children giving priority to their nutritional needs.

Access to health and medical facilities to meet any health related requirement.

Provision of toys, books and stationery for children, promotion of educational and recreational activities.

24 hour ambulance services to deal with any medical emergency.

24×7 lighting inside the camp to ensure adequate visibility and security.

Comfortable mattress arrangement for a comfortable sleep.

Continuous water supply supported by Delhi Jal Board (DJB) to meet the daily needs of the residents.

Regular cleaning and fumigation activities are conducted twice a day by the MCD to maintain a clean environment. Soap and sanitizer are also distributed for personal hygiene.

Sanitary napkins and diapers are also being distributed in the relief camp.
The Delhi government, under the supervision of District Magistrate (DM) Sonika Singh, a Central IAS, is actively involved in overseeing the relief efforts. The DM, along with the Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) are continuously monitoring the situation to ensure quick and efficient response.
After talking to the flood victims, it was found that the government has provided many facilities including biscuits, arrangement of lights, arrangement of beds for the children.
In addition the provision of fans as well as the deployment of civil defense personnel have enhanced the comfort and safety of the residents. The Delhi government has also partnered with NGOs to provide additional support and assistance.
