New Delhi, May 28: Last week, a rally was taken out by the Popular Front of India (PFI) in Kerala, in which a minor boy along with his father was seen raising slogans against Hindus and Christians. Its video also became very viral, after which the National Commission for Children had asked the Kerala Police to take action in the matter. Now 20 people have been arrested in this incident.
According to Kerala Police, the boy’s family had gone into hiding in Kochi, Kerala after the video of the controversial sloganeering went viral. Police traced the boy two days after the rally, while his father was taken into custody on Saturday. At that time he was returning home from Alappuzha.
The boy’s father claimed that he had also raised slogans in the protest against the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, ie CAA, but did not target any religion. It is a part of his party activity. The accused further said that the slogan was only against the Sangh and not against Hindus or Christians. Such sloganeering has happened before. At the same time, when journalists asked the boy from where he learned this slogan, he said that he had heard it in the program against NRC and since then it is in his heart.
