According to Kerala Police, the boy’s family had gone into hiding in Kochi, Kerala after the video of the controversial sloganeering went viral. Police traced the boy two days after the rally, while his father was taken into custody on Saturday. At that time he was returning home from Alappuzha.

The boy’s father claimed that he had also raised slogans in the protest against the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, ie CAA, but did not target any religion. It is a part of his party activity. The accused further said that the slogan was only against the Sangh and not against Hindus or Christians. Such sloganeering has happened before. At the same time, when journalists asked the boy from where he learned this slogan, he said that he had heard it in the program against NRC and since then it is in his heart.

What was in the viral video?
In the viral video, a child is seen sitting on his father’s shoulder. He said with a slogan that one day we will definitely do Sajda in both Babri and Gyanvapika, Inshallah, Sanghis, you understand this. Neither we will go to Pakistan nor Bangladesh. We will be buried in 6 feet of land of this country, but you Sanghis, remember that we will destroy you before we die.
