Heat rising in Delhi

National Weather Forecasting Center scientist Dr Rajendra Kumar said that there is no alert of hot winds in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh yet. The maximum temperature in Delhi is yet to cross 36.7 degree Celsius, it will not cross the maximum temperature in the next few days. Like Delhi, the mercury is continuously rising in western India and the temperature has reached near 40 degree Celsius. The mercury has reached near 40 degree Celsius in Jaisalmer, Churu, Bikaner, Barmed, Pilani in western Rajasthan. People are facing heat wave in North Gujarat, Saurashtra-Kutch, Vidarbha, West Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh, Telangana.

The mercury rising even in the hilly areas

The mercury is rising not only in North India, West India but also in hill stations like Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand. The maximum temperature in these places has reached 34 degree Celsius. Meteorological Department scientist said that the mercury has increased in Dharamsala, Mandi, Chamba and even Solan. why is the temperature rising

The Meteorological Department says that in the month of March, the temperature may remain normal or above normal. The temperature will increase after March. The upper air chart, which is 500 MB, clearly shows that the mercury will increase due to the anti cyclone in the central parts of India. Under this, air pressure starts building up in the upper environment. Due to which a lot of air comes down and increases the mercury on the ground. Why is the mercury rising in the coastal areas?

Although it is common in the flat areas that the mercury rises after the month of March, but the hot winds in the coastal areas have surprised everyone. The mercury has reached 40 degree Celsius in Mumbai in the last few days. According to scientists, this is due to trade winds. The main reason for this is the Madden Julian Oscillation. Under this process, a barrier (ridge) is formed, due to which the sea air is not able to reach the coastal areas and the mercury rises. The time of Mumbai sea winds is from 11.30 am to 12 noon, but now it comes till 3-4 pm, due to which the mercury reaches 37-38 and it also crosses 40.
