New Delhi, 12 May. Lord Vishnu appeared from the pillar in the form of Narasimha avatar on the Chaturdashi date of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month. That is why Narasimha Jayanti is celebrated on this day. Lord Narasimha is known as power, might and destroyer of enemies. This year Narasimha Jayanti is coming on Saturday 14th May 2022. Method of worshiping Lord Narasimha

On the day of Narasimha Jayanti, get up at Brahma Muhurta and wear clean clothes after retiring from bathing. Place the idol of Lord Narasimha and Goddess Lakshmi on a post in the worship place of your house by laying a red white cloth on it. Worship with all the ingredients. Use fruits, flowers, Panchmeva, Kumkum Kesar, coconut, Akshat and Pitambar in the worship of Lord Narasimha. Chant the mantra of Lord Narasimha, Om Narasimhay Varapradaya Namah. While chanting, spread the seat of Kush and chant with Rudraksh garland. Keep fast throughout the day.
