Chandigarh, The dispute between the governments of Punjab-Haryana is increasing. The AAP government is telling Chandigarh only as the capital of Punjab. For this she also brought a resolution in the assembly. At the same time, the Haryana government is opposing it. Haryana Home Minister today gave a cross-sectional statement on the issue of Chandigarh. Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij said that Chandigarh is the capital of Haryana. Till SYL water is not available, Chandigarh is ours. We will not back down.
Vij said that, if someone thinks that Chandigarh will no longer be the capital of Haryana, then I am saying that Chandigarh is and will remain the capital of Haryana now. “Our decision is like Angad’s foot. No one can uproot it,” he said.
Resolution also passed in Haryana Vidhan Sabha
Describing Chandigarh as the capital of Punjab, the AAP government had brought a resolution in the assembly a day earlier, which was opposed by the Haryana government. At the same time, now a resolution has also been passed in the Haryana Legislative Assembly, in which Chandigarh has been described as the capital of Haryana. Apart from this, the Haryana government has decided to take up the issue of water with Punjab.
State Home Minister Anil Vij said in the Haryana Vidhan Sabha today that, as the AAP government in Punjab is saying, it is a child party. They do not understand the issues. If we build a new capital, then we should get money from the center for that, till all the issues will not be decided single-handedly, Haryana will stand here, till we get water from Hindi speaking area and SYL, Chandigarh is ours. We won’t be deterred by it.”
