Rakesh Pal became the 25th Director General of the Indian Coast Guard, mastered the weapon system

Rakesh Pal has been appointed as the 25th Director General of the Indian Coast Guard. He is an alumnus of the Indian Naval Academy and joined the Indian Coast Guard in January 1989.

He has done professional specialization in Gunnery and Weapon Systems from Indian Naval School Dronacharya, Kochi and Electro-Optics Fire Control Solution course from United Kingdom. Along with this, he is recognized as the first gunner of ICG.

Tell that Additional Director General Pal was handling the work of Director General after the retirement of Virender Singh Pathania from the post of Director General since last February. On July 19, 2023, the Central Government issued orders appointing him to the post of Director General.
