Gavaskar praises Iyer

In a conversation with Star Sports, Sunil Gavaskar has said that considering the way Iyer has batted against Sri Lanka, if he continues with it, then he can emerge as a big player in the times to come. Gavaskar said that Iyer’s shot selection during the T20 and Test series was commendable and if he continues with this then the next 6-8 months can prove to be very good for Indian cricket and for him himself.

Shreyas Iyer also scored 80 runs in the third ODI against West Indies, on the basis of which Team India won.
