Surya Grahan 2022: Khandagras solar eclipse will be held on Shanishchari Amavasya, will not be visible in India

New Delhi, April 18. Vaishakh Amavasya being a Saturday on 30th April 2022 has made a coincidence of Shanishchari Amavasya. Along with this, Khandagras solar eclipse is also going to happen on this day. However, this solar eclipse will not be visible in India. Therefore, even its sutak etc. will not be valid. It is clearly mentioned in the scriptures that the eclipse which is not visible is not considered as Sutak etc. But on this day, being Shanishchari Amavasya, this day has special significance for charity, charity, chanting and tapasya.

Khandagras solar eclipse time

On the night of Vaishakh Amavasya i.e. in the midnight of April 30- May 1, Khandagras solar eclipse will start at 12.15 pm and will remain till 4.28 am. The total duration of the eclipse will be 4 hours 13 minutes. This will be the first eclipse of the year 2022 and Nav Samvatsar 2079 which will not be visible.

Shanishchari Amavasya

Amavasya will start from 12.57 pm on 29th April and will remain till 1.56 pm on 30th April at midnight. Therefore, the auspicious time of Amavasya will remain for the whole day on 30th April. On this day, being Shanishchari Amavasya, there will be a special auspicious occasion for the happiness of Shani Dev. Donate oil and sesame in Shani temples. Recite Shani Stotra, Stavraj etc. Take bath, chant and tap in holy rivers.
