Mumbai, May 28: Akshay Kumar’s film Prithviraj seems to be surrounded by controversies many times before its release. However, the film is all set to release in theaters on June 3. Ever since the film was announced, the Karni Sena was continuously opposing the film and its makers. Actually Karni Sena had objected to the name of the film. Not only this, demonstrations were also held at many places. Film production company Yash Raj Films has now decided to change its name. This change has been announced through a public letter addressed to the Karni Sena. This step has been taken after a PIL by Karni Sena. After several meetings and notices, Prithviraj’s name has finally been changed.

Emperor Prithviraj is the new name
Let us tell you that the name of the film has been changed from Prithviraj to Emperor Prithviraj. The statement issued by Yash Raj Films said that they never intended to hurt or insult anyone’s sentiments. Through the film, he wants to celebrate the bravery, achievements and contribution of Emperor Prithviraj to the country’s history. The statement further read- We appreciate the mutual agreement reached between us that you do not have any further objection with respect to our film. Also all other objections raised by you earlier have nothing to do with us now. We thank Karni Sena and their members for understanding our good intentions to portray the great warrior in the film.

The film is releasing on June 3
Let us tell you that the writer and director of the film Samrat Prithviraj is Chandraprakash Dwivedi. Akshay Kumar will be seen in the lead role in the film while his opposite is new heroine Manushi Chillar. Manushi is making her debut with this film. She has become Princess Sanyogita. Apart from this, Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, Sakshi Tanwar, and Manav Vij will also be seen in the film. The film will release in theaters on June 3.
