Vaishakh Month 2023:
Vaishakh month is the second month of the year according to the Hindu calendar. In the year 2023, the month of Vaishakh has started from 07th April. Vaishakh month will last till 5 May 2023. Vaishakh month usually falls between the second week of April and the first week of May. Vaishakh month is called ‘Madhav month’ in Vedic calendar and ‘Madhusudan month’ in Vaishnava calendar. The month of Vaishakh also marks the beginning of summer.
Vaishakh month has great importance in Hinduism. Lord Vishnu is worshiped in this month. According to Hindu religion, there are many fasts in the month of Vaishakh, such as Pradosh Vrat, Masik Shivratri, Vaishakh Purnima, Akshaya Tritiya. Lord Vishnu is worshiped on this day.

Vaishakh month is associated with Lord Madhav. Worship Lord Sri Hari Vishnu in this month and chant his mantra “Om Madhavaya Namah” during worship. This will bring happiness and peace in your life and your wealth will never decrease.
2Donating water in the month of Vaishakh is considered most important. Make sure to use Panchamrit and Tulsi leaves in Vishnu Puja.

– Reciting Gita in Vaishakh month and listening to the story of Vaishakh month is considered very virtuous.

The day of Vaishakh Amavasya has great importance. On this day, after bath, one should do Tarpan, Pindadan etc. with water for the sake of ancestors.
5Shani Jayanti is celebrated on Vaishakh Amavasya in South India. Worshiping this on Vaishakh Amavasya gives freedom from Shani Dosha and Pitra Dosha.
6Trees and plants should be served in the month of Vaishakh. Apart from this, any person suffering from heat should be helped. By doing this, you get the same result as doing Char Dham pilgrimage.
7To please Goddess Lakshmi, auspicious things should be bought on Akshaya Tritiya.
What not to do in the month of Vaishakh (Vaishakh Month Don’ts)

According to Skanda Purana, oil massage should not be done in the month of Vaishakh.

One should not sleep during the day in the month of Vaishakh.
3-
It is not considered appropriate to have food more than twice in the month of Vaishakh.
4-
If possible, food should not be eaten after sunset in the month of Vaishakh.
5-One should get up before sunrise every day in the month of Vaishakh and worship after bathing.
