But, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) was not invited to this meeting. In such a situation, AIMIM’s national spokesperson Waris Pathan has attacked the opposition parties on Wednesday. Said he was a “political pariah” for 26 like-minded parties. “They didn’t invite us, we are political untouchables for them,” he said.

‘Muslims want votes, but no political representation’

In fact, the pre-poll alliance was announced at a meeting in Bengaluru on Tuesday. All opposition parties should come together on a national platform to take on the present government. On the other hand, on AIMIM not being invited to this meeting, Pathan said that you want the votes of the Muslim community, but you do not want their political representation and then you talk about secularism.

Pathan further said that leaders Nitish Kumar, Uddhav Thackeray and Mehbooba Mufti, who were once with the BJP, were also present in the meeting. They have suddenly become secular now. Taking a dig at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Pathan said that he once abused the Congress during the Gujarat assembly elections and even invited him to its Bengaluru meeting.

Opposition parties on Tuesday announced that their grouping would be called Bharat, the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance to take on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which in a separate meeting brought together 38 parties. rallied together. Speaking on not getting the invitation despite opposition parties having similar intentions, Pathan said, “They are saying that the Constitution and democracy have to be saved, and the BJP has to be defeated. We want the same. Even we (AIMIM) is also making efforts to defeat BJP in 2024. So that, Narendra Modi does not become the Prime Minister once again.

AIMIM likely to become third front!
AIMIM on Tuesday said that it will form a third front in Bihar ahead of the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Bihar party president Akhtarul Iman said on Tuesday that political parties used Muslims as vote bank but did not pay any attention to their development. He said that before the Lok Sabha elections, talks are on between like-minded parties to form a third front.

Speaking at an event in Bihar, he said, ‘We have been forced to form a third front in Bihar because the Grand Alliance only wants the votes of Muslims, but does not give them their rights. Till now they have been used only as vote banks. But people have understood their game plan now.
