Why is the character of Lal Singh Chaddha a Sikh? Aamir Khan made a big disclosure!

Laal Singh Chaddha which is the official Hindi remake of Hollywood film The Forrest Gump is constantly facing negative comments and boycott trends. However, the fans of Aamir Khan are confident that the film is going to earn well. Aamir Khan often reveals something about this film that the fans come to know and talk about it.

Everyone knows that Aamir Khan has played the role of a Sikh in this film and the news has come out about why he chose Sikh. Aamir Khan said that when he read the script of ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ written by Atul Kulkarni, the lead character was already cast as a Sikh and it felt ‘organic’.

The actor told a news portal that the character and its story will help to uncover a very difficult time faced by the Sikh community in 1983-84.

Elaborating further, Aamir said that by making the main character a Sikh, Atul was trying to capture the sentiments of the audience.

You are really investing your emotions very strongly in the character, in the event and then from there… into the film, the actor told Galata Plus in an interview. The film is releasing on 11th August.
