Wi-Fi has made our life a lot easier. People who use more internet use Wi-Fi at home and we get Wi-Fi in office too. Once you connect your PC to a network and unless you change the password, you do not need to connect it to that network again. But what if you need to connect another device to the same Wi-Fi network and you don’t know the password.

As long as you have connected your PC or laptop to that Wi-Fi network, you can find the password in minutes.

How to Find Wi-Fi Password When Using Windows PC

If you want to find the password for the Wi-Fi network you’re currently connected to, here’s the process for Windows users:

step 1: First click on the Start button and then go to Control.

Step 2: Now go to Network and Internet Settings.

Step 3: If you are using a PC running Windows 11, go to Network and Sharing Center.

Step 4: Now, here you have to go to Connection and click on your existing Wi-Fi network.

Step 5: After this a new page will open now. Here, you have to click on the option of Wireless Properties and then go to the Security tab.

Step 6: Finally, check the box next to Show Characters to show the password for your Wi-Fi network.

How to Find Wi-Fi Password in macOS

If you want to know the WiFi password for a laptop or PC running Apple’s macOS, you need to follow the below procedure:

step 1: First you have to open the Keychain Access app.

Step 2: After this, click on the System option in the sidebar.

Step 3: Now, Password option will appear at the top of the window, go there.

Step 4: Here, find the Wi-Fi network whose password you want to view and double-click on it.

Step 5: Now finally, here check the box next to Show Passwords option and enter your password when prompted.

Step 6: When you do, a blank password field will automatically show the password you used to log in to the particular Wi-Fi network.
