Universal Account Number (UAN) is a 12-digit unique number assigned to an EPF member. It is a permanent number and is valid for the lifetime of a member. The company makes this number for its employees, which is useful for life. In case of change of employment, the previously allotted UAN can be provided by the employer only.
Through UAN, the EPFO member can know his PF balance and can withdraw it anytime without the help of the employer. However, in many circumstances it has been seen that the UAN of the employee is not generated or he/she forgets it. How to check your EPF balance without UAN

step 1: For this, first of all you have to visit the EPF home page of epfindia.gov.in.
Step 2: Now after this click on the option “Click Here to Know your EPF Balance”.
Step 3: Now you will be redirected. Now you have to go to “Member Balance Information”.
Step 4: Now here you have to select your state and click on your EPFO office link.
Step 5: After this you have to enter your PF account number, name and registered mobile number.
Step 6: Now click on submit option. Now your PF balance will appear on the screen.
How to withdraw your PF money without UAN number
If you do not have a UAN, you will have to fill the PF Withdrawal Form and submit it to the local PF office. Members will have to download the Aadhaar-based Composite Claim Form or the non-Aadhaar Composite Claim Form from the Internet. Under this, the process of withdrawal from PF without UAN can take time.
You can do partial or full withdrawal from PF account according to your need. Complete withdrawal of EPF can be done after the retirement of the employee or if he is unemployed for more than two months. If an employee remains unemployed for a month, then he can withdraw 75% of his total PF amount from the pension fund.

How to check EPF balance through missed call
