Wrestling News Vinesh Phogat:
The National Anti-Doping Agency has issued a notice against female Olympian wrestler Vinesh Phogat. Notice has been given to Vinesh Phogat for giving wrong permanent address. In this matter, he has been given 14 days to respond. Apart from this, Phogat is also accused of disobeying the rules.
Answer sought within 14 days:
According to a report in The Tribune, the Dope Control Officer of NADA visited his Sonipat address. Phogat was not present when the officer reached there. Not only this, he did not respond to the phone calls made by the officer. In such a situation, a case of giving wrong address has come up against him.
Return to Wrestling:
According to reports, the dope control officials kept trying to contact Vinesh Phogat for about 40 minutes at his Pratap Colony address in Sonepat but when they failed to do so, they came back from there. Vinesh is going to return to competitive wrestling from today i.e. Thursday from Budapest Ranking Series 2023. The competition will run till July 16 in Hungary.
Learn Case:
Athletes who are part of the Registered Testing Pool are required to use the Anti-Doping Administration’s Management System to update their address information every 3 months. Under this, they have to provide address, email address, phone number, agenda, training venue and program information here. This is the first time in the last one year that Vinesh Phogat has received this notice.
A matter of relief for Phogat:
In this regard, officer Ankush Gupta told that every player registered in NADA gets a chance to change it in three months. This is Phogat’s first case in the last one year, so she need not worry much. Vinesh has 14 days to respond to this notice. According to NADA rules, if a player gives a wrong address three times in a span of 12 months, it is considered an anti-doping rule violation.
