1. EPFO Website
After visiting the EPFO website, click on ‘Member Passbook’. You can view PF passbook by logging in with your UAN and password. You will be shown the Opening and Closing Balance as well as the Break-up of Employee and Employer Contribution. If more than one Provident Fund number is linked to your UAN, then all of them will be shown. To know the balance of that PF account, you have to click on the specific Member ID.
2. Unified Portal
One can log on to the Unified Portal with their UAN and Password and open the PF passbook to view the future PF amount.
3. PF Balance Check SMS
You can use SMS service to know EPF balance on mobile. To use the service, you need to send SMS to EPFOHO UAN ENG at 7738299899. Sending SMS to check PF balance without UAN will be useful, but make sure it is from your registered mobile number. After sending the SMS, you will get the last PF contribution and Member Specific details for your KYC.
4. PF Balance Check Missed Call
Use your mobile phone to do EPF balance check for which you will not even need a UAN. For this, you have to use the missed call service provided by EPFO. All you have to do is give a missed call on 011-22901406 from your registered mobile number. After two rings, the call gets disconnected and the user will receive an SMS showing the PF balance.
The important thing is that this service is available free of cost and can be availed from a normal phone as well. However, as an employee you need to ensure that your UAN is linked with your bank account, Aadhaar and PAN and even your mobile number should be linked and registered on the unified portal.
5. Download on UMANG App
One can download UMANG App – Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance – to get EPF details like PF balance, claim status, KYC status etc.
